WELCOME TO THE A.C.C. (Air Carter Centre) Get Ready For Takeoff!
Vince Carter a.k.a. My Cousin Vinny a.k.a. daVinci This site is dedicated to the Toronto Raptors rookie sensation Vince Carter. Vince is a 6ft.7in 215lb. forward from the University of North Carolina. He was selected with the fifth pick overall in the first round of the 1998 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors traded Vince to the Raptors for ex-North Carolina teammate Antawn Jamison (bet they're sorry now).Life in the pros is so much different, back in college days Antawn was the go to guy (Vince averaged just 10 shots a game his final season), but who's da man now? Antawn is hardly getting any minutes with the Warriors while Vince is in the hunt for Rookie of the Year. Vince has found the transition from college to the NBA not at all difficult, the fact that second year Raptor Tracy MacGrady aka.T Mac (cousin),Charles Oakley & Kevin Willis (two veterans that have been around the league a long time) are there, he has guys looking out for him to make sure he learns the game at this level and keep him on the right path. Vince has already stated that he hopes to play all his career in a Raptor uniform. He loves the city and loves the affection the people of Toronto have shown him. That is very good news for fans of the Raptors which have been witnesses to the "I want more more or I'll walk" epidemic. Carter does seem sincere in his hopes of sticking around and building something great in Toronto, I guess we'll have to just wait and hope he is, but for now lets enjoy!

Since getting settled in the league Vince has drawn rave reviews from players and coaches alike and is even mentioned in the same breath as His Airness. Vince is very well aware of the comparisons that are drawn to Michael Jordan but admits that those are pretty big shoes to fill, he's just trying to do things that make the team win - while making highlight reels every night across North America. Over on the right you can see Vince getting nasty on fellow Canadian team Vancouver Grizzlies.
Before the regular season the Grizzlies were touted as the better team in Canada but as their respective records show, things have changed (the numbers don't lie). Vince and the Raptors have gone from being the doormats of the Eastern Conference to a take no prisoners wrecking crew. This attitude and style of play is attributed to the influence the wily veterans (Charles Oakley & Kevin Willis), who were aquired in the off-season, have had on the team. Any team coming in town to play Toronto now knows they have to be at their best to win.

Fasten Your Seatbelts!
Manja! Vince Manja! This page was inspired by the fabulous play of Vince and for the growing number of fans that are out there, namely myself (Glen) and my homeboy Norman. Although we are not able to go to every game (ticket prices are a bitch!) we make it a point never to miss a televised game. We feel that the Raptors are by far one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NBA (certainly more exciting than Country Bwoy Malone and Tight Ass Shorts Stockton. We are both very excited by this Raptors team, they are the very reason Norman even started watching NBA basketball again. Vince and the Raptors have given basketball fans in Toronto something to cheer about. Everyone thought when Isiah Thomas and Damon Stoudamire left town Raptors basketball was doomed but now we realize it was the best thing that ever happened to this team. The basketball Gods are smiling on the Raptors because everything is now falling into place, they have a solid team, they are above .500 for the first time this late in a season and finally they have a place to call home - The Air Canada Centre a.k.a. The Hanger a.k.a. Carter's House. They have one of the best home records in the NBA which I think is because they are just happy and thankful that they dont have to play in the Skydome (worst place ever for basketball).
